Tampa leads Florida in solar adoption — with 244 sunny days per year and Tampa Electric (TECO) rates climbing every year, solar makes more financial sense here than almost anywhere else in the state. Omniwave Energy serves Tampa and the greater Hillsborough County area, including Brandon, Westchase, Carrollwood, Hyde Park, South Tampa and surrounding communities — with professional installations and service in Portuguese, Spanish and English.

How much do you save in Tampa?

Based on 244 sunny days/year and Tampa Electric (TECO) average rates, a typical residential system generates:

$145 savings/mo
$1,740 savings/yr
$44k over 25 years

$0 to start. Ever.

No down payment, no fees at signing, no maintenance bills. Our lease partner owns the panels — you just pay for the power they produce.

90% production guarantee

If the system makes less than promised, our partner pays you the difference. Written into the contract. Not a marketing line.

One predictable rate. 25 years.

Your monthly payment rises at a low, locked rate while Florida electric bills climb 3–5% every year. Do the math.

Everything you need to know.

Correct. A licensed solar partner owns and maintains the system on your roof; you pay a fixed monthly fee for the power it makes. In Florida that fee starts well below your current electric bill and rises at a low, locked rate — much slower than utility bills, which go up 3–5% every year.
Most lease contracts include a buy-out option starting around year 6 at fair market value. You can also renew the lease, transfer it to a future homeowner, or have the system removed for free. You're never locked in.
Yes — even more so for lease customers. The residential credit expired Dec 2025, but the commercial credit (Section 48E) goes to the lease partner through 2027. They pass the savings on to you as a lower monthly payment. You get the tax-credit benefit without filing for it.
Yes — and this is the urgent part. Today the utility credits you 100% of retail rate for excess solar you send back. That drops to 60% in 2027, 50% in 2028+. Customers who install in 2026 typically get grandfathered into the better rate. Waiting costs real money.
Florida solar follows the strictest building code in the U.S. for wind zones. In Miami-Dade and Broward we use HVHZ-certified systems. Any storm damage is covered by the lease partner at no cost to you.
Yes — Tampa and all of Hillsborough County. We cover Brandon, Westchase, Carrollwood, Hyde Park, South Tampa, Plant City and nearby areas. TECO customers benefit especially from going solar since TECO rates have increased every year for the past decade.
Three easy options: (a) transfer the lease to the buyer (they get a lower-than-utility payment, most accept), (b) buy the system at fair market value and roll it into the sale price (homes with solar sell 4–5% higher per Lawrence Berkeley Lab), or (c) have it removed. You're never trapped.
